ABOUT THE SPORTS HALL

House of sports is the name of a large multi-purpose sports hall in Zagreb.

Located in the northwestern part of the Sports square and occupies the entire space between Magazinska street and Nova cesta. The facility has a useful area of ​​32000 m2 of which 10000 m2 of office space and 22000 m2 is for sport.

In the Sports Hall a variety of indoor sports are held (tennis, handball, volleyball, basketball, indoor soccer, figure skating, ice hockey, fencing, etc.), but other events (concerts, lectures, etc.) are organized too . Hall is managed by the City of Zagreb.

House of sports is open since June 17 1972nd and it was premiered with a basketball Europe - The World.

In these thirty years of existency it is hard to enumerate all the great and important events as well as clubs and individuals who have competed in the halls of the Sports Hall.

The hall was used for the World Table Tennis Championship, the European Figure Skating Championships, World Cup Hockey - Division A, ATP Zagreb Open, and many other great sports events.
