WHY TO TRAIN KARATE

 Karate is not only a special form of self-defense but is also a sport that provides an opportunity for the adoption of a healthy and balanced lifestyle that incorporates physical, mental and spiritual health.

Karate offers:

* Healthier lifestyle

* Improved physical readiness

* Increased self-confidence

* Setting and achieving goals

* Increasing maturity

* Overall endurance

* Adaptation and adjustment in the community.

As a sport and a martial art, karate encourages self-discipline and develops concentration and awareness. Although karate training requires a lot of discipline, its interactive nature provides the foundation for learning and practicing life skills such as humility, mutual respect, honesty and positive thinking. All this, with honesty, rules of conduct, are the principles on which it is based.

Dealing with karate as a sport is an ideal prerequisite for the development of positive psychological and physical traits in young people, especially school age. Contrary to the prejudices that it characterizes violent martial arts, karate practitioners primarily offer their discipline, respect and self-control as the basic preconditions for practicing this sport. Whether it is a kata (a sequence of systematically related defensive and offensive techniques), or fight (between two fighters), the main goal of karate is to overcome the rivals skills, not "destroy" him.

Trainees are required to have good hygiene habits, to obey and to maintain high standards of disciplines. It is understandable that the same principles become part of their daily lives. By adopting a positive thinking they will progress in mastering the techniques. A positive attitude and mindset increase confidence, facilitate the reaction and adaptation to the new situation, whether it comes to that in the arena and in everyday life.

Honor and loyalty are two important principles. No less important conditions are justice, courage, goodness, kindness, honesty, humility, and especially self-control. These values are essential for life in the community. They are man's spiritual circuit, but, unfortunately, in modern society they are often lost.

The first task of all karate trainees, and above all, master of karate are adoption of these principles and presentation of their living example.
